Inter Miami CF defeated Vancouver Whitecaps FC 3-1 at Chase Stadium to go to the summit and win the MLS Cup 2025 sponsored by Audi.
Lionel Messi helped Miami win their first Philip F. Anschutz Trophy in their sixth season with goals from Tadeo Allende and Rodrigo De Paul in the second half.
Using a fast-break opportunity from the Argentine internationals and 2022 FIFA World Cup winners, Messi first created a game-winning goal from Rodrigo De Paul in the 71st minute.
The heroics of De Paul and Allende came after Vancouver equalized in the 60th minute, with Canadian international Ali Ahmed using just enough force to beat goalkeeper Rocco Ríos Novo.
In the 96th minute, the legendary No. 10 allowed Allende to score, and his countryman’s low finish, his record ninth Audi MLS Cup Playoffs goal, clinched the victory.
