Super Eagles strikers Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman have both been nominated for the Seria A player of the month award for the month of January 2023.

The two Nigerian internationals have been dominating the headlines in the Italian Seria A this season and are the front-runners for the Golden Boot in the league with both players already hitting the net on five different occasions this year.

The former Lille striker has got 14 goals in 16 games leading the top scorers chart, in second is his fellow countryman Lookman who has 12 goals in 19 games so far in this campaign.

The former Everton man got a brace each against Salermitana and Juventus. Also, last weekend he was on the scoresheet in the home win against Sampdoria.

After a rough start to the New Year, Osimhen is now in red hot form; he scored a brace against Juventus and a goal each against Sampdoria, Salernitana and Roma. It seems like there’s no stopping Victor at the moment as he has scored in his last five games consecutively.
