Atalanta and Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman recently shared his vision of the “perfect footballer” in a fun interview with GOAL, where he described the qualities he’d combine from various football icons to create an ideal player.
According to him, his ideal footballer is one who had the left leg of Lionel Messi, right leg and skillset of Neymar, football IQ of Andres Iniesta, speed of Kylian Mbappe and the strength and physicality of Didier Drogba.
In assembling his perfect footballer, Lookman’s choices reflect a blend of different strengths from some of the game’s greatest players. His selections emphasize not only physical and technical prowess but also intelligence, vision, and work ethic—qualities he himself strives to bring to his game.
As Lookman continues to make his mark in Serie A with Atalanta and in international play with Nigeria, fans can see glimpses of these inspirations in his own performances.
Lookman is currently in camp with the Super Eagles in Abidjan ahead of the qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
