Man City ends Arsenal’s Premier League title wait after draw at Bournemouth

Manchester City inadvertently ended Arsenal’s 22- year wait to win the Premier League title following the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola’s men needed a win to push the title decider to the final day of the season but failed to secure maximum points at the Vitality Stadium.

Erling Haaland’s late gasp equaliser rescued Manchester City from defeat after Eli Junior Kroupi gave the Cherries the lead in the 39th minute.

Had Manchester City won, Mikel Arteta’s men would have needed to beat Crystal Palace at Selhurt Park tomsevure the title.

However, the Gunners can afford to lose maximum points as they would remain top of the table regardless of the outcome of the game between Manchester City and Aston Villa at the Etihad.

The result means Arsenal are the new Premier League champions for the time after 22 years going into inconsequential tie away at Crystal Palace on Sunday.
