Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in a deal reportedly worth around £65 million in guaranteed fees, with up to £6 million in possible add‑ons.
This transfer becomes the most expensive sale in Brentford’s history and United’s fourth incoming signing of the summer.
The 25‑year‑old Cameroon international has committed to a long‑term contract at Old Trafford running until June 2030, with an option for a further year.
He completed his medical over the weekend and is expected to join the squad for the upcoming pre‑season tour in the United States, featuring games in Chicago, New York, and Atlanta.

Mbeumo arrives after a standout 2024–25 campaign with Brentford, where he netted 20 Premier League goals and provided eight assists, ranking him fourth in the league’s scoring charts. Across six seasons, he amassed 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 appearances for the Bees.
Upon announcement, Mbeumo said joining United is “the club of my dreams” and described the move as an opportunity to elevate his game under manager Ruben Amorim and alongside world‑class teammates.
This transfer represents United’s second major forward acquisition of the summer following the arrival of striker Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
