Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has decided to stay with the club after rejecting Al Hilal’s “juicy” offer to join the Saudi club this summer.
Al Hilal proposed a deal worth £200 million for three years to the Portuguese midfielder after news broke out that he was considering his future after Manchester United’s Europa League final loss to Tottenham.
The deal would have seen Fernandes earn at least £700,000 per week after tax had he agreed to join the Saudi Pro League side.
However, football transfers expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes has decided to continue with Manchester United.

Romano confirmed Fernandes’ decision to stay at Old Trafford in a tweet via his official X page on Tuesday morning.
EXCLUSIVE: Bruno Fernandes has REJECTED Al Hilal proposal. Despite crazy contract proposal from the Saudi Pro League club, Bruno Fernandes wants to continue playing football in Europe. Man United captain wants to play at top level in Europe. Decision made.
Bruno Fernandes, despite Manchester United’s disastrous season, recorded double figures in goals and assists – 17 and 15, respectively.
The 30-year-old has two years left on his contract, which is set to expire on June 6, 2027.
Even though there was no direct contact between Al Hilal and Manchester United, the Saudi Pro League side was, according to sources, willing to pay up to £100 million for the services of Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno Fernandes’ decision to stay comes as a relief to the fans, the club’s hierarchy, and his coach, Ruben Amorim, who has consistently shown belief that the 30-year-old will remain at Old Trafford.
