Manchester United have reportedly made an inquiry into the availability of Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, who previously opted to represent Germany on the international stage over Nigeria.
Born in Munich to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother, Adeyemi committed his international career to his birth country. He made his senior debut for Germany in a 2021 World Cup qualifier against Armenia and has since accumulated 11 caps.

According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United have reached out to Adeyemi’s agent, Jorge Mendes, to gather information on the player’s current situation.
“Manchester United have inquired about Karim Adeyemi and obtained information from Jorge Mendes. The situation continues to be monitored,” Plettenberg stated on X.
The 23-year-old’s future at Dortmund has become a subject of speculation amid stalled contract negotiations. While his current deal runs until 2027, talks over an extension have hit a snag. Adeyemi and his representatives are reportedly insisting on the inclusion of a release clause in any new contract, a point of contention with the club.
