Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United are desperate for a striker, and have reportedly found their answer at Stamford Bridge.
According to The Times, The Red Devils are eyeing a move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson to bolster their attacking options. Amorim’s men started their summer business with the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha, followed by Cerro Porteno’s Diego Leon.
The Portuguese manager is keen to further strengthen the frontline, and The Times reports that United are monitoring Jackson, who faces an uncertain future at Chelsea.
While the Blues are not actively pushing to sell the 24-year-old, the arrivals of centre forwards Liam Delap and João Pedro have cast doubt on his role.
Jackson, who joined from Villarreal in 2023, scored 17 goals in his debut season but managed only 13 last term, with just one Premier League goal after the New Year.
Delap impressed with a goal and assist in the Club World Cup group stage, while Pedro made an immediate impact, scoring three goals, including one in the final against Paris Saint-Germain.
