Super Falcons interim coach Justine Madugu released the list of 20 invited players for the encounter billed for the end of the month on Sunday.

The list had a number of notable absentees, a decent amount of home-based players that prosecuted the friendly against Algeria in October, some newly-invited players as well a handful of the regulars.

Blessing Nkoh (Pyramids FC), Aderline Mgbechi (Rivers Angels), and Adoo Yina (Nasarawa Amazons) are the newly-invited players to the team.

This post takes a brief look at the profiles of the newly-invited invited players as they look to integrate into the team.

1. Blessing Nkoh (Pyramids FC)

Blessing Nkoh is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt and played for the Falconets- Nigeria’s Under-20 women’s football.

The young striker has played for Yanga Princesses in the Tanzanian Women’s Football League before moving to Asyaspor in Turkey.

2. Aderline Mgbechi

She is a young and enterprising goalkeeper for Rivers Angels. Mgbechi featured for the Falconets at the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia this year.

However, Mgbechi watched from the bench in the four matches the team played before they crashed out of the competition in the quarter-final loss to Japan.

3. Adoo Yina

Adoo Yina is a midfielder and she plays for Nasarawa Amazon. She also featured for the Falconets.

Yina was part of the team that represented the country at the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in 2022.

She featured for only five minutes in fhe competition. The central midfielder came on a second half substitute in the 3-1 win over Canada.

The newly-invited players will look to get another international experience as the Super Falcons take on the French national team.

The match is slated for the Stade Raymond Kopa in in Angers, with kick-off set for 9.30 p.m.
