Tottenham Hotspur have pulled off a major coup by landing Ghanaian sensation Mohammed Kudus from West Ham.

The 23-year-old joins the North London side after an impressive debut season in the Premier League. He joins the Europa League champions in a fee reported around £55 million, payable over three years, with added performance-based escalation possible.

Here’s what fans should know about the dynamic midfielder:

1. Kudus Was One of the Premier League’s Standout Performers Last Season

Kudus hit the ground running in his first year at West Ham, registering 14 goals and 6 assists across all competitions. He also recorded an impressive 117 dribbles—more than any other Premier League player.

He quickly built a reputation as one of the league’s most unpredictable attacking threats, with his dazzling dribbling, creativity, and ability to play across multiple forward positions making him a nightmare for defenders.

2. He Offers Spurs Tactical Flexibility

One of Kudus’ biggest strengths is his versatility. He’s equally comfortable operating as a winger, an attacking midfielder, or even a false nine. With Ange Postecoglou replaced by Thomas Frank, Kudus fits perfectly into a fluid attacking system. His arrival gives Spurs a new level of unpredictability in the final third.

3. Spurs paid big but It’s a long-term investment

Tottenham shelled out around £55 million for Kudus, making him one of the club’s most expensive signings. But at just 23, he’s still developing and has the potential to become a world-class talent.

The six-year deal shows Spurs believe he’s a player to build their future around especially after last season’s underwhelming 17th-place finish.
