Napoli are back at the summit of the  Serie A after a convincing win over Atalanta on Saturday evening at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

The reigning champions added another dose of misery to Atalanta’s ailing form in the Serie A this season with a 3-1 win.

Reigning African Footballer of the Year, Ademola Lookman was in action for La Dea but was off colour as the visitors suffered another defeat.

Brazilian winger, David Neres scored twice in the first half while Noa Lang added the third just before the break.

Gianluca Scamacca pulled a goal back for Atalanta 10 minutes into the second half to inspire a remontada.

Unfortunately, the host held on till the blast of the final whistle as the tie ended 3-1 in favor of the host.

However, a second-half brace from Tommaso Pobega and Federico Bernadeschi’s late goal sealed a comfortable win for the visitors at the Bluenergy Stadium on Saturday evening.
