Fast-rising Nigerian boxing sensation Elizabeth Oshoba delivered a commanding performance on Sunday night as she stopped Britain’s Chelsey Arnell with a third-round technical knockout to maintain her unbeaten run.
The super-featherweight bout took place at Olympia London as part of the undercard for the #DuboisHarper event.
Elizabeth stepped into the Arran, looking fierce with a face mask on, and late Dagrin’s timeless hit track, “Pon Pon Pon,” played as she entered the ring.
Her strong showing drew significant attention to her continued rise on the global stage. Oshoba showcased her power and precision from the start.
She overwhelmed Arnell with relentless pressure with punches to her chin until the referee halted the bout in the third round.
The victory improved the Nigerian’s professional record to 10-0, with six of those wins coming by knockout. Oshoba also made her debut under Most Valuable Promotions in this bout.
The result signals a new chapter in her career as she gains increasing international recognition. A silver medalist at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Oshoba has steadily built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s brightest boxing prospects.
Oshoba’s latest win further strengthens her standing in the super-featherweight division and positions her for bigger fights against top-ranked contenders.
Ahead of the bout, Oshoba trained in the United Kingdom. She worked alongside Nigerian music star Small Doctor, which added extra buzz to her preparations.
Following the win, Oshoba thanked her fans at home and abroad for their support in a post-match reaction.
“Hello everyone, it’s your girl Elizabeth, thank you everyone for your support, I really appreciate it. God bless you all”
With momentum firmly on her side, Oshoba now targets higher-profile opponents. She aims to climb the world rankings and consolidate her status as a leading force in women’s boxing.
