The Flying Eagles of Nigeria secured a dramatic 3–2 win over Saudi Arabia in their second group match at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The victory keeps their hopes alive after a disappointing 1–0 loss to Norway in their opener.

Nigeria struck first in the 10th minute when Nasiru Salihu converted a through ball from Suleiman Sani.

Saudi Arabia responded with an equaliser in the 21st minute via Amar Al Yuhaybi, who was assisted by Hamed Youssef.

Then, in the 38th minute, Amos Ochoche scored a stunner (again set up by Salihu), restoring Nigeria’s lead heading into half-time.

The winner came deep in injury time when Nigerian captain Daniel Bameyi coolly slotted home a penalty after a foul in the box.

With this result, Nigeria moved into third place in their group, behind Colombia and Norway (who played to a 0-0 draw).

Their final group fixture is against Colombia, while Saudi Arabia will face Norway in their last match.
