On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) featured several matches across various venues in the country.

At the Remo Stars Stadium, the home side extended their unbeaten streak to eight matches with a 2-1 victory over Kano Pillars. Oluwaseun Ogunribide opened the scoring early in the sixth minute, and Sikiru Alimi doubled the lead in the 40th minute. Just before halftime, Abba Adam pulled one back for the visitors, but Remo Stars held firm in the second half to secure all three points.

El-Kanemi Warriors hosted Nasarawa United and emerged victorious with a narrow 1-0 win. The decisive goal came in the 33rd minute courtesy of Umar Al Amin ensuring the Warriors claimed all three points in front of their home fans.

In a tightly contested match at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Bendel Insurance suffered a 1-0 defeat to Shooting Stars. Godwin Odibo’s lone strike in the 81st minute secured the victory for the hosts, keeping their seven-game unbeaten run intact.

Remo Stars are now eight points clear at the top of the table with Shooting Stars sitting second.
