Nigerian football star, Asisat Oshoala paid a spiritual visit to Mecca alongside her Al Hilal teammates as part of a club-organised religious trip this week.
The squad travelled to the holy city during a break in their Saudi Women’s Premier League schedule, taking time away from training and competition to perform Umrah.

Oshoala, who joined Al Hilal from FC Barcelona Femení earlier this year, was pictured dressed in traditional Ihram attire, walking alongside her teammates as they carried out the rites around the Kaaba.
The visit is understood to be part of Al Hilal’s efforts to strengthen team unity while allowing players — many of whom are from Muslim-majority nations — to observe personal acts of worship.
Oshoala, a devout Muslim, looked visibly happy during parts of the visit and later shared images from the pilgrimage on social media, expressing gratitude for the experience.
Since arriving in Saudi Arabia, the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year has enjoyed a strong start to life with Al Hilal, helping the club in their push for domestic honours.
The team is expected to resume full training upon return as preparations continue for their next league fixture.
