Victor Osimhen’s potential transfer from Napoli to Galatasaray is nearing completion, but a late twist has stalled negotiations.
Despite Osimhen agreeing on personal terms with the Turkish champions, Napoli are holding firm, demanding a controversial clause to finalize the deal.
Galatasaray are prepared to meet Napoli’s €75 million valuation, but president Aurelio De Laurentiis insists on fewer installments and full bank guarantees.
Additionally, La Repubblica reports Napoli want an “anti-Italy” clause, barring Osimhen from joining any Serie A club for three seasons, preventing him from facing Napoli in Italy until 2028/29.
Osimhen, is fully committed to returning to Istanbul after a successful 2024–25 loan spell, and is patiently awaiting a resolution.
The clause, informally referred to as the “anti-Italy” clause, would essentially bar the Nigerian forward from lining up against Napoli in Italy until at least the 2028/29 campaign.
Galatasaray are reportedly comfortable with the total transfer fee but continue to haggle over the payment structure, proposing staggered instalments.

Napoli, on the other hand, are insisting on stronger financial guarantees and full compliance with their “no return to Italy” clause.
