Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is closing in on another major milestone in European football as Galatasaray prepare to host Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League on October 22.

Since joining the Turkish champions permanently in August, the Nigerian forward has been nothing short of sensational for Okan Buruk’s side, continuing from his record-breaking debut season where he netted 37 goals and seven assists in 41 games — the highest single-season tally in Galatasaray’s history.
This season, Osimhen has scored three goals in seven appearances, including the winning goal against Liverpool in the last round.
He now has the chance to make history by becoming the first Galatasaray player to score in seven consecutive European matches, surpassing Burak Yilmaz’s record of six set in 2012.

Having already scored against Tottenham, AZ Alkmaar, Dynamo Kiev, Ajax, and Liverpool, Osimhen enters this clash in top form after bagging a hat-trick for Nigeria during the international break.
Fully fit again, the 26-year-old will lead Galatasaray’s charge as they aim to maintain their unbeaten run — and Osimhen’s goal could write yet another chapter in his remarkable career.
