Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu has been recognized for his remarkable form, winning the Turkish Super Lig Goal of the Month award for September.
The forward, who is enjoying a fantastic return to Turkish football after completing a permanent transfer to Trabzonspor from Southampton in late September, earned the prize for a stunning strike against Fatih Karagumruk.
Despite his considerable height and frame, the former Genk man managed to contort his body to execute a beautiful scissors kick that found the back of the net.
Onuachu was presented with his award by Trabzonspor Vice President Taner Fikret Saral before their recent match against Eyüpspor.
The 31-year-old has made a significant impact since his move, contributing to eight goals in ten games for the “Black Sea Storm,” with seven goals and one assist. His superb scoring run currently sees him lead the goalscorers’ chart in the Turkish Super Lig.
