Paul Scholes has advised Manchester United to prioritize signing a striker if they want to bring a new player to the squad this winter transfer window.

The former Red Devils veteran midfielder made his thought known while on punditry duties after Manchester United’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

“If Man Utd are going to bring in a player in January, then it has to be a STRIKER.”

The Red Devils put up a brilliant display against the league leaders as they put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Manchester United missed a couple of opportunities that could have seen the Red Devils leave Anfield with a famous victory on a snowy Sunday evening in

Manchester United Merseyside.

Rasmus Hojlund and Amad Diallo missed glaring chances in the first half which could have given the Red Devils a 2-0 lead going into the break.

The Red Devils are currently on a -5 goals difference after scoring 23 and conceding 28 goals this season.

In a related development, Juventus are reportedly willing to include Dusan Vlahovic in a deal that will send Joshua Zirkzee to Turin.

Joshua Zirkzee arrived from Bologna last summer, but the 23-year-old Dutch forward has struggled to find his footing at the club with three goals and an assist in 20 league appearances

Manchester United have been linked with Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen and Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyökeres ahead of the summer transfer move.
