Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed that Ruben Dias will miss the club’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa this weekend with a muscle injury.
According to Guardiola, Dias will be out of action for four weeks due to injury.
“Rúben Dias will be out with an injury for 3/4 weeks,” The City boss said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“He felt something against Man United, he played for 75 minutes with pain… now he’s out.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola will have the likes of Manuel Akanji and John Stones back in his squad for the Aston Villa clash as they look to arrest a slide that has produced just one win in their last 11 games.
The champions lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Manchester City in their last outing, a result that placed them outside the top 4.
The Cityzens currently sit in the 5th position on the Premier League table behind Nottingham Forest, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
