Barça Legends struck early, with Gaizka Mendieta scoring a stunning goal from outside the area in the 3rd minute, leaving goalkeeper Iker Casillas with no chance.
Throughout the first half, Ludovic Giuly posed a constant threat, forcing a notable save from Casillas. Despite the creative efforts of Rivaldo and Roberto Trashorras in midfield, Barça couldn’t extend their lead before halftime.
