Levante 1–4 Real Madrid
Real Madrid maintained their perfect start to the season with a commanding 4–1 victory over Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de València. Vinícius Júnior opened the scoring in the 28th minute, followed by Franco Mastantuono’s first goal for the club in the 38th minute.
Levante briefly threatened a comeback with Etta Eyong’s header in the 54th minute, but Kylian Mbappé sealed the win with two goals in quick succession—one from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute and another in the 66th minute after a swift counterattack.
This victory extends Madrid’s lead at the top of the table with 18 points from six matches, five points clear of second-placed Barcelona, who have a game in hand.
Athletic Bilbao 1–1 Girona
Athletic Bilbao and Girona played out a 1–1 draw at San Mamés. Anass Ounahi gave Girona the lead in the 9th minute, but Bilbao’s Jon Jauregizar equalized in the 48th minute. Both teams had opportunities to secure all three points, but neither could find the decisive goal.
The result leaves both sides mid-table, with Athletic Bilbao slightly ahead due to a better goal difference.
Espanyol 2–2 Valencia
Espanyol and Valencia shared the spoils in a thrilling 2–2 draw at the RCDE Stadium. Arnaut Danjuma opened the scoring for Valencia in the 15th minute, and Hugo Duro doubled their advantage in the 62nd minute. Espanyol responded late with goals from Leandro Cabrera in the 59th minute and Javi Puado in the 96th minute, salvaging a point for the hosts. Both teams will feel they could have secured a win, but the draw reflects their current form.
Sevilla 1–2 Villarreal
Villarreal secured a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Sevilla at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium. Oluwaseyi Akinmoladun gave Villarreal the lead in the 17th minute, and Solomon Solomon doubled their advantage in the 86th minute.
Sevilla’s Mohamed Sow pulled a goal back in the 51st minute, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Villarreal from taking all three points. The win propels Villarreal into the upper echelons of the table, while Sevilla will look to bounce back in their upcoming fixtures.
