Al Nassr secured a 2-1 victory against Al Raed in the Saudi Pro League, with Cristiano Ronaldo playing a pivotal role by both scoring and providing an assist.
The match commenced with Al Nassr asserting dominance, maintaining majority of the possession. The breakthrough came in the 35th minute when Ronaldo headed in a cross from Marcelo Brozović, marking his 15th league goal of the season and solidifying his position as the top scorer in the Saudi Pro League.
Shortly after the second half began, in the 47th minute, Ronaldo turned provider, assisting Nawaf Bu Washl to double Al Nassr’s lead. Al Raed managed to pull one back in the 76th minute through Amir Sayoud, but Al Nassr’s defense held firm to secure the win.
This victory elevates Al Nassr to third place in the league standings with 38 points from 18 matches, trailing leaders Al Hilal and Al Ittihad. Conversely, Al Raed remains in 15th place, facing relegation concerns.
Al Nassr’s next fixture is against Al Wasl in the AFC Champions League Elite on February 3, 2025, while Al Raed will face Al-Qadsiah in the Saudi Pro League on February 6, 2025.
