Marcus Rashford has been in the news for the past 48 hours over his “new challenge” comment which indicates that he is willingly to leave the club on or before the end of the season.

Rashford spoke with Henry Winter in a quite lengthy interview on his recent struggles at Manchester United especially as he was left out of the Manchester Derby.

He hinted at taking up a new challenge even though he intends to improve on his current form which has attracted criticisms from the media and fans.

Ruben Amorim while responding to questions ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Tottenham for the Carabao Cup quarter-finals said Marcus Rashford is important to his squad.

He also added that he’s willing to help the 27-year-old return to his best.

“United need big talent and he’s a big talent, so he just needs to perform at highest level. That’s my focus”.

“I just want to HELP Marcus. We are better with Marcus”.

“I will try different things to push Marcus to the best levels he showed in the past”.

On Rashford’s comment on needing a new challenge, Amorim says the project at Manchester United is a new challenge for everyone at the club.

“He is right! We have here a new challenge, the biggest in football”.

“We are in a difficult situation. I hope all my players are ready”.

Marcus Rashford has been linked to a move outside of England and PSG appears to be the most-likely destination for the Manchester United academy graduate.

However, reports in France suggest that the French champions are not likely to make a move for Rashford at least not in the winter transfer window.
