Egyptian Mohamed Salah equaled Didier Drogba’s record of African all time top scorer in the English Premier League  with 104 goals after he scored in a 5-0 whitewash victory over Watford on Saturday.

Drogba played for Chelsea between 2004-2012 and later 2014-2015 in which he won many domestic trophies and also won the EPL golden boot twice. Drogba scored those goals with more games (254) but Salah has matched that record with less games (164).

The Liverpool star scored one of the best goals of his career after dancing past a couple of defenders with a quick feet before curling home a fine finish. He also assisted his fellow African Mane to give his side the lead and also helping the Senegalese to score his 100th goal in the Premier League.

Also, Salah is currently the joint top scorer in the EPL with 7 goals this season same with Jamie Vardy, while Mane is third with 5 goals. He already has 3 assist to his name in this campaign.

It should be recalled that Salah is among the 30 players nominated for the Ballon d’Or which will be announced on 29 November. Obviously if Salah continues with this goal scoring form he might dethrone his Liverpool counterpart Mane for the African Footballer of The Year Award.
