The Pharaohs of Egypt have finally won a game at the FIFA World Cup after waiting for the moment for close to a century.

Mohammed Salah, captain of the Pharaohs played a significant role in the feat scoring a goal and two assists in the early hours of Monday June 22nd.

Egypt became the first African team to participate at the FIFA World Cup in 1934 but had never won a game.

However, the jinx was broken with a comeback win over New Zealand on Monday morning at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.

Finn Surman gave the New Zealanders the lead after 15 minutes with a thumping header off a cross from Tim Payne.
