Spanish La Liga outfit, Sevilla, welcomed Super Eagles striker, Akor Adams, back to the club with excitement after a decent outing with Nigeria during the international break.
Adams scored on his debut for the Super Eagles in the victory over Lesotho last week in Polokwane, South Africa.
The 25-year-old striker also played a role as Nigeria thrashed Benin Republic 4-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Tuesday to secure a playoff spot after missing out on the automatic qualification spot for the World Cup.
Akor Adams has since returned to Sevilla ahead of the resumption of club football this weekend.
Sevilla’s official X page shared pictures of Akor Adams training in the gymnasium ahead of Mallorca’s visit with the caption: “Akor has returned after his successful debut with Nigeria!”
Adams, after a slow start at the club, is slowly settling in with two goals in two matches. The center forward came off the bench to score against Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona before the international break.
Akor Adams will look to continue his form in front of goal this weekend when the Rojiblancos welcome Mallorca to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan on Saturday.
