The Spanish Players Association (AFE) has awarded Real Madrid’s midfielder as the league’s best player for the 2023/2024 season.
Jude Bellingham was presented the award in a ceremony held in Madrid yesterday.
The versatile English midfielder had an explosive debut season for the current league champions after his €103m move from Borussia Dortmund.
The 21-year-old settled into life at Real Madrid immediately and scored on his debut in Real Madrid’s 2-0 away at Athletico Bilbao.
Bellingham bagged a brace and assist in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win at Almeria and the winner at Celta Vigo to wrap up the month of August 2023 in style.
Jude Bellingham became the first Englishman to be named La Liga Player of the Month award for his brilliant start to the season.
Bellingham also became the firs Real Madrid player to score on his La Liga, Champions League and El Classico debuts for the club.
The English midfielder ended the season with 19 goals and 6 assists and was named La Liga and Re Madrid’s Player of the Year.
