Tottenham Hotspur powered past struggling West Ham United with a ruthless 3-0 win at the London Stadium, while Chelsea were left frustrated after conceding a stoppage-time equaliser in a pulsating 2-2 draw at Brentford.
In East London, Spurs took control in the second half after a cagey opening period. Pape Matar Sarr broke the deadlock just two minutes after the restart, glancing in from a corner. The Hammers’ task became harder when Tomas Souček was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on João Palhinha in the 54th minute.

Tottenham made full use of the advantage as teenage midfielder Lucas Bergvall doubled the lead with his first Premier League goal, before Micky van de Ven capped off the victory with a powerful finish.
Ange Postecoglou’s side looked composed and clinical, while West Ham, increasingly mired in the relegation zone, were once again undone by poor defending at set-pieces and lapses in discipline.
Across town, Brentford and Chelsea delivered drama of their own at the Gtech Community Stadium. The hosts struck first when Kevin Schade latched onto Jordan Henderson’s long pass and fired home in the 35th minute.
Chelsea’s dominance in possession eventually told as substitute Cole Palmer coolly levelled just past the hour mark. Moisés Caicedo appeared to have won it for the Blues with a thunderous effort five minutes from time, but Brentford showed their trademark fight.

Deep into stoppage time, Fabio Carvalho pounced on a loose ball after a chaotic throw-in to smash home a dramatic equaliser, sparking wild celebrations among the home crowd.
For Chelsea, it was a bitter pill, having let victory slip away so late, while Brentford will take heart from their resilience. Spurs, meanwhile, march on with momentum, but pressure continues to mount on West Ham as their season unravels.
