Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka has insisted that the team is fully focused on securing a crucial three points in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Rwanda on Saturday.
Nigeria will face the Amavubi at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, knowing that anything less than a win could end their World Cup dreams.
With only seven points from six qualifying games, the Super Eagles are in a perilous position and are relying on winning their remaining matches while hoping for favorable results elsewhere in the group.
Despite the immense pressure, the Brentford midfielder stated that he and his teammates are up to the challenge.
Speaking to NFF Comms, Onyeka conveyed a message of confidence from the team’s camp.
“The feeling in camp is good. The players are ready. We know how important the game is, so we are ready and we are doing everything possible to prepare for the game, mentally and every other way.”
A comprehensive win against Rwanda would not only provide a vital three points but also serve as a significant boost ahead of the much-anticipated clash with South Africa in Johannesburg.
