Victor Osimhen has resumed his training at Galatasaray after a brief period of absence due to an injury.

In a message posted on their Instagram account, Galatasaray revealed the intriguing news regarding the most recent development on Osimhen.

The statement said, “Victor Osimhen has worked separately from the team within the special programme prepared for him.”

Osimhen’s injury explained

The 25-year-old striker suffered an injury on September 28 during Galatasaray’s Super Lig match against Kasımpaşa, despite scoring two goals in the 3-3 draw in the Turkish Super Lig.

Due to pain, he had to leave the game at halftime and signaled to the technical bench for a substitute at the halftime break.

Nigeria suffered a serious blow ahead of the international break when Galatasaray gave an update on his fitness a few days later.

Osimhen attempted to console fans’ worried about his health after the game by saying he was fine.

His left posterior muscle group had a strain and some little hemorrhage, according to the testing.

Osimhen did not play in Galatasaray’s October 3 UEFA Europa League match against Rigas FC or their October 6 Super Lig matchup against Alanyaspor.

He was also absent from the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s AFCON qualification match against the Mediterrean Knights of Libya, which they won 1-0 at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
