Nigeria’s Super Falcons avenged the loss to Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses on Tuesday evening in Yaounde as they round off preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The defending champions suffered a 1-0 loss to the Lionesses on Saturday but bounced back to victory with a 3-1 win in the two-phased warm-up friendly.
Justin Madugu put out another strong line-up as expected with Chiamaka Nnadozie in goal, Christy Ucheibe in midfield, Rinsola Babajide, Folashade Ijamilusi and Rasheedat Ajibade in attack.
AS Roma Women’s forward Rinsola Babajide scored and provided an assist as the Super Falcons brushed their host aside in a 3-1 win.
The Super Falcons came from a goal down to secure the win as they head to Morocco to not just defend their title but also secure qualification for the Women’s World Cup in Brazil next year.
