Marie-Antoinette Katoto put the ball in the net in the eighth minute but it was disallowed for offside.
In the 29th minute, Katoto found Eugenie Le Sommer, who converted from close range to give France the lead.
France extended their lead in the 37th minute when Le Sommer found Amel Majri.
In the first half’s extra time, Ifeoma Onumomu scored for Nigeria with help from Monday Gift.
After multiple encounters, it was the first goal the Super Falcons have ever scored against France.
However, France managed to hold on and triumph at the Raymond Kopa Stadium in Angers.
With a close win, the France women’s team, who have dominated the Nigerians in previous years, extended their winning streak.
