Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi has added another achievement to his career after graduating from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship with Merit.
Awoniyi announced the achievement in a social media post, describing it as “another proud moment” away from the football pitch.
The Nottingham Forest striker wrote said;
“Graduating from the PFA Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Global Football Sport Directorship with Merit.”
Awoniyi explained that his education has become an important part of his journey as a professional footballer.
“I have always believed that being a footballer shouldn’t stop you from being a student of the game and education has become an important part of that journey for me.”
He also expressed his appreciation to those who supported him throughout the programme.
“Thank you to everyone at the PFA Business School, the lecturers and my colleagues I had the opportunity to learn alongside.”
The Nigerian forward added a special appreciation for his family and friends.
“And a special thank you to my family and friends for their encouragement and support throughout.”
Awoniyi concluded his message with a reminder that his development extends beyond the pitch
