Tonbridge Angels FC have officially announced the signing of 22‑year‑old forward, Oluwabunmi “Bunmi” Babajide, younger brother of Super Falcons and UDG Tenerife winger, Rinsola Babajide, ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.

Bunmi developed through the youth systems at Millwall and Queens Park Rangers before launching his senior career with Corinthian Casuals, Waltham Abbey, Egham Town, and Carshalton Athletic.

His breakthrough came during the 2023–24 Isthmian Premier League season at Carshalton, where he scored an impressive 20 goals in 37 appearances, earning a move to National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Tonbridge manager Craig Nelson described the young forward as “electric,” praising his pace, power, and clinical finishing. “He brings pace, power and a real eye for goal … he’s direct, fearless and has the kind of energy that gets fans off their seats,” Nelson said.

In his first media statement as an Angel, Bunmi said: “I’m really happy to be joining Tonbridge Angels. After speaking with the gaffer, I felt this was the right place for me to grow and show what I can do. I’m ready to work hard, enjoy my football, and contribute with goals and performances the fans can be proud of”.

The move places Bunmi on a parallel path to his sister Rinsola, who has shone both in the Women’s Super League and Liga F and is a key figure for Nigeria’s Super Falcons. The Babajide siblings highlight a compelling footballing legacy emerging from their family.
