Ranchers Bees, the football club of Super Eagles striker, Umar Sadiq have secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) despite losing 2-0 to Gombe United at the Pantami Stadium on Wednesday.
The Kaduna-based club needed only one point to clinch their return to the top flight, but the result no longer mattered after rivals Jigawa Golden Stars lost 3-0 away to Kebbi United.
Ranchers Bees finished top of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Conference D with 20 points after 12 matches.
They will return to the NPFL after a 26-year absence.
Jigawa Golden Stars finished third with 18 points.
Doma United, Inter Lagos, and Sporting Lagos also returned to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Meanwhile, Ranchers Bees return to the top flight comes after the take over from Super Eagles striker, Umar Sadiq, and son of former Kaduna State Governor, Bello El Rufai.
The duo bought the club in August 2026. Umar Sadiq is set to become the first Nigerian player to win a club in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
