Victor Osimhen has shown an ability to find the net at an alarming rate, whether for club or country.

His brace for Galatasaray against Tottenham in the 3-2 Europa League win was testament to his sharpness in front of goal.

Chelsea have been linked with Osimhen for the better part of two years and failed with a deadline-day move this summer.

Enzo Maresca and the Blues have started well, but a prolific striker will add so much more to this team.

Here are 3 reasons why Chelsea must sign Osimhen.

Osimhen is an upgrade on Jackson

Signing Victor Osimhen would be a significant upgrade for Chelsea. Nicolas Jackson’s 6 goals this season are respectable, but Osimhen’s consistency and clutch performances would take Chelsea to the next level.

Unlike Jackson, who has struggled against top teams like Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City, Osimhen has a proven track record of delivering in high-pressure matches for Napoli, Nigeria, and Galatasaray.

Figurehead in attack

Osimhen’s presence would provide Chelsea’s young players with a reliable figurehead, someone to look up to and rely on in crucial moments. They’ll know they have an elite goal-scorer who can bail them out when needed.

This assurance would ease the burden on the shoulders of Cole Palmer, who has had to carry most of the attacking load for the Blues in the past 18 months.

Leadership and Title Ambition

Osimhen knows how to win. He showed that in Napoli’s historic Scudetto triumph, and that energy would be contagious and inspire Chelsea’s young squad to reach new heights.

His leadership would be crucial in the pursuit of titles, elevating the team to genuine contenders.

With Osimhen leading Maresca’s attack, the Blues will be confident of competing for every trophy.
