Brazilian football star, Vinícius Júnior recently gifted NBA icon, Giannis Antetokounmpo a Brazil national team jersey and a pair of Nike football boots.
The gesture, captured on video, showcased the mutual respect and growing friendship between two of the biggest names in global sports.
Vinícius, who is currently in the United States for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with Real Madrid, presented Giannis with the jersey—bearing the iconic number 10—and a pair of his signature Nike Mercurial boots.
Giannis, known for his infectious charisma, expressed his appreciation with a smile, joking about the size of the shirt. “Thank you for the hat brother… Thank you for the jersey, I appreciate you man. Vamos, Brasil!” he said in the video, before adding, “The t-shirt is a little bit small… but it’s okay man.”
The Greek-Nigerian basketball star has long expressed his admiration for football and often shows off his skills with the ball during NBA warmups and off-season training.
Real Madrid are currently in the thick of action at the Club World Cup, with their next match scheduled against Red Bull Salzburg in Philadelphia on Friday.
