Tunisia and Algeria settled for a 0-0 draw in their WAFCON 2024 Group B encounter in Casablanca, leaving both sides with work to do in the race for quarter-final spots.
After a 3-0 defeat to Nigeria, Tunisia showed improvement, creating early chances through Sana Guermazi and Myriam Bayahia but couldn’t break their five-match goal drought in the tournament.
Algeria, who came in on the back of a win over Botswana, controlled much of the second half. However, Marine Dafeur, Lina Boussaha, and Mélinne D’Oria were all denied by an inspired Soulayma Jebrani in goal.
Algeria now sit on four points, unbeaten, and face Nigeria next. Tunisia, with just one point, must beat Botswana to stand any chance of reaching their first-ever WAFCON quarter-final.
