Reigning African Footballer of the Year Ademola Lookman is set to leave Atalanta at the end of the current football season.
After leading Atalanta to their first-ever European trophy last season, Lookman’s departure is certain according transfer market guru Matteo Moretto.
Lookman is a name that we will definitely talk about in view of the next transfer market because Lookman will leave Atalanta 99.9%.”
Arsenal are believed to be leading the race to sign the 27-year-old Super Eagles forward ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, Matteo Moretto says Lookman is not Arsenal’s preferred choice in the left-wing position.

Matteo Moretto made this claim on the YouTube channel of popular football transfers expert Fabrizio Romano recently.
In the last few hours the rumor has come out that Lookman could end up at Arsenal.
“I tell you that to date I don’t know if he is due to his characteristics but above all due to his age, because Arsenal in any case have a certain type of standard also in terms of the age of the players to buy.”
“I don’t think Lookman is the first or even the second choice for Arsenal in that position.
“It’s true that he was offered to Arsenal so Lookman has certainly been offered to many teams in Europe, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid but to date the teams most interested are two Italian ones: Juventus which I’ve already told you about and Napoli.”
Nevertheless, Ademola Lookman remains a target for top club’s in Europe given his performances for Atalanta over the last three years.
Lookman registered 20 goals and five assits this season for La Dea and made it to the Serie A team of the season.
