According to Romano, Xabi Alonso will sign a three-year deal as head coach of the 15-time European champions until 2028.
He also added that Xabi Alonso’s backroom staff is sorted, and the 43-year-old manager will assume office soon to prepare the team for the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
Alonso leaves Bayer Leverkusen on a high after leading them to their first-ever Bundesliga title last season without losing a match.
