On his 33rd birthday, Ahmed Musa, Nigeria’s most-capped player with 111 appearances, sent a motivational video to the Super Eagles ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Benin at Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio Stadium.

With Nigeria trailing Benin (17 points) and South Africa (15 points) in Group C, a win is vital to keep qualification hopes alive.

“Hello guys, today is the D day, and today is my birthday. We know what is at stake, win the game and wait for the result of South Africa, Rwanda.
“This is the best birthday gift you can give me. Up Super Eagles, I know we can do it. I miss you all and best of luck,” Musa said in a video shared by @NGSuperEagles.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria must defeat Benin Republic by 2 goals to go top of Group C, while needing South Africa to drop points against Rwanda.
Anything short of this would mean a second consecutive World Cup without the African giants.
