The 2023-24 NBA season has been an unforgettable ride, filled with thrilling matchups, incredible performances, and heart-stopping finishes.

As 2024 comes to a close, let’s take a look back at five of the most memorable NBA games that made this year truly special.

5 Best NBA Games of 2024

Chicago Bulls 113-115 Phoenix Suns

The Bulls built a 66-49 halftime lead despite playing without two-time All-Star Zach Lavine, who missed the game with a sprained right ankle. But the Suns fought back from a 23-point margin in the third, cutting the lead to 90-83 heading into the fourth.

Durant finished with 43 points, eight assists and six rebounds. Bradley Beal scored 18 and Devin Booker added 16 as the Suns completed a remarkable comeback

Milwaukee Bucks 125-121 San Antonio Spurs

The first battle between Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and San Antonio Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama exceeded the hype.

Antetokounmpo had 44 points and 14 rebounds and Milwaukee overcame an electric performance by Wembanyama on his 20th birthday to beat San Antonio 125-121 on Thursday night.

Wembanyama had 27 points, and Devin Vassell led the Spurs with 34.

Golden State Warriors 113-115 Los Angeles Lakers

Austin Reaves scored the winning layup with one second left after Stephen Curry tied it on a 31-foot 3-pointer with seven seconds remaining.

LeBron James had 31 points and 10 assists playing in his NBA-record 19th Christmas Day game, and the Los Angeles Lakers held off the Golden State Warriors 115-113 on Wednesday night.

Curry scored 38 with eight 3s and a highlight reel befitting of Christmas Day.

Dallas Mavericks 124-103 Minnesota Timberwolves

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving combined to score 44 for the Mavs as they ended the Timberwolves playoff run in a scorching Game 5 win.

The Timberwolves never found their footing in a 124-103 blowout loss but it was still a post-season for Anthony Edwards and company to be very proud of as they look to consolidate in the new year.

Boston Celtics 106-88 Dallas Mavericks

Jayson Tatum had 31 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds as the Celtics topped the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 on Monday night to win the franchise’s 18th championship, breaking a tie with the Los Angeles Lakers for the most in league history.

Jaylen Brown added 21 points and was voted the NBA Finals MVP.

It helped the Celtics cap a postseason that saw them go 16-3 and finish with an 80-21 overall record.
