3 Must-Watch Games in Europe This Weekend

The international break is over, and Europe’s top leagues are back with a bang. Here’s a look at three massive clashes you won’t want to miss.

Manchester City vs. Manchester United

The Manchester Derby is always a highlight, and this one has added intrigue. Manchester United comes into the match with an injury crisis, as key players Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount, and Diogo Dalot have all been ruled out. Manager Ruben Amorim stated, “They are out for this game. I don’t know how long it’s going to take.”

Meanwhile, City have their own injury concerns with Omar Marmoush and several other players on the sidelines, but they will be desperate to bounce back after a poor start to their domestic season.

Both sides have made major signings, and this derby will be the first chance for many of them to prove themselves in a high-stakes environment.

The “Derby d’Italia” is set to be a fascinating contest. Juventus have started the season in fine fashion, winning their first two Serie A matches while scoring six goals and conceding none. The Bianconeri sit top of the table and look to be a force under new coach Igor Tudor.

Inter, on the other hand, has had a mixed start. They began their campaign with a dominant 5-0 win over Torino but were surprisingly defeated 2-1 by Udinese.

Inter will be keen to get their season back on track, but a visit to an in-form Juventus side will be a tough test.

Barcelona vs. Valencia

Barcelona returns home this weekend looking to get back to winning ways after a draw with Rayo Vallecano before the break. Hansi Flick’s men trail Real Madrid by two points and will be eager to close the gap.

On paper, the Catalans are heavy favorites. They have a dominant head-to-head record against Valencia, winning ten of their last sixteen meetings, including a massive 7-1 victory last season.

All eyes will be on young star Lamine Yamal, who has taken over penalty duties and has been in sensational form to start the season. While Valencia has had a mixed start, they’ll be hoping to pull off a major upset.
