Victor Osimhen has dedicated his first goal of the year to the twin sons of popular billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu on their birthday.
Osimhen scored his first goal of the year in Galatasaray’s 2-1 win over Goztepe on Saturday at the Rams Park.
The 26-year-old striker scored from the penalty spot 10 minutes into the match to put his side ahead.
While celebrating the goal, Osimhen raised a Galatasaray shirt with the inscriptions: “Happy Birthday Tony and Toby” which left fans, including the club wondering who the striker was referring to.
Galatasaray’s official English X page also sent the wishes of the club to Tony and Toby in a tweet via its X handle.
Osimhen had earlier met wiih the twins and their father while in holiday in Nigeria last week and promised to dedicate a goal to them if he scores on their birthday.
The Super Eagles striker fulfilled his promise to the twins as he helped Galatasaray win their first match of the year in front of the home fans.
