Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) moved closer to securing their 13th French Ligue 1 title with a commanding 3-1 victory over Olympique de Marseille at the Parc des Princes on Sunday night.

PSG started the match assertively, with Ousmane Dembélé opening the scoring in the 17th minute after latching onto a precise through ball and finishing confidently.

The home side doubled their lead just before halftime when Nuno Mendes capitalized on a loose ball inside the box to score from close range.

Marseille responded six minutes into the second half, as Amine Gouiri found the net following an interception by Adrien Rabiot, reducing the deficit to 2-1.

However, PSG restored their two-goal advantage in the 76th minute when Marseille defender Pol Lirola inadvertently deflected Achraf Hakimi’s cross into his own net.

This victory extended PSG’s unbeaten run in the league to 26 games, amassing 68 points and establishing a 19-point lead over second-placed Marseille, with only eight rounds remaining.

In other matches across France, Strasbourg defeated Toulouse 2-1. Despite an early goal from Toulouse’s Magri in the 3rd minute, Strasbourg mounted a comeback with goals from Lemarechal and Santos to secure all three points.

Brest and Reims played out a goalless draw, with neither side able to break the deadlock.

Lyon showcased resilience by overturning a 2-1 halftime deficit. Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring with a 21st-minute penalty, but Le Havre responded with goals from Touré and Casimir.

In the second half, Lyon’s substitutes made a significant impact: Fofana equalized in the 79th minute, Mikautadze gave Lyon the lead in the 82nd, and Almada sealed the victory in stoppage time.

The match between Montpellier vs. Saint-Étienne was abandoned due to crowd disturbances.

Flares thrown onto the pitch led to a fire in the stands, causing the referee to suspend the game in the 63rd minute. Fans were evacuated, and the match was officially abandoned. Saint-Étienne were leading 2-0 before the abandonment.
