The 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup will be held in Singapore from September 18 to 21 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, marking the tournament’s third consecutive edition in the city-state.
The competition will feature six teams from five different continents, divided into two groups of three teams each. Every team will play two group-stage games in a round-robin format, with group winners advancing to the final, runners-up playing for third place, and third-place teams contesting fifth place.
Group A features defending champions Unicaja of Spain, who earned their spot by winning the 2024 Basketball Champions League.
They are joined by Al Ahly SC of Libya, who recently won the 2025 Basketball Africa League, becoming the first Libyan team to feature in the competition.

The third team in the group is Utsunomiya Brex of Japan, winners of the Basketball Champions League Asia.
Group B includes Flamengo of Brazil, who qualified by clinching the 2024–25 BCL Americas title and are making a return to the Intercontinental Cup after their 2022 triumph.
Also in the group are Illawarra Hawks of Australia, the reigning champions of the National Basketball League (NBL), and NBA G League United, representing the United States for a second consecutive year.
The final will be played on September 21, following placement matches earlier in the day. With clubs from Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, North America, and South America all participating, the event reflects FIBA’s commitment to creating a truly global club basketball competition.
