Aina’s Forest eye shock move for Super Eagles big-game player

Nottingham Forest could add another player to their growing contingent of Nigerians before the transfer window closes.
The club has emerged as an unexpected contender to sign Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman, aiming to exploit Atalanta’s reluctance to sell to Serie A rivals Inter Milan.
The 27-year-old, who netted 20 goals last season across all competitions for Atalanta, has formally requested a transfer from Bergamo this summer.
While Inter have agreed personal terms with the ex-Fulham attacker, their bids fall short of Atalanta’s €50m (£45m) valuation, per The Sun, leaving room for Premier League interest.

Arsenal see Lookman as a cost-effective option over Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, while Forest view him as a dynamic replacement for Anthony Elanga, now at Newcastle.
Nuno Espírito Santo believes Lookman’s pace, versatility, and direct approach suit Forest’s attack.
However, convincing the Super Eagles star to join a non-Champions League side could be tough, especially with Arsenal and Inter offering European football.
Owner Evangelos Marinakis is driving an ambitious transfer strategy for European qualification, evident in Dan Ndoye’s signing and Morgan Gibbs-White’s contract renewal despite Tottenham’s interest.
Securing Lookman would be their boldest move yet, and send a strong message across the league.
