Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender Olaoluwa Aina has ruled out the possiblity of joining Arsenal this summer.
Aina believes he’s too old to join the reigning Premier League champions while interacting with a Nigerian Arsenal fan in London recently.
A video surfaced online when the Nigerian working as one of the guards at Wimbledon quizzes the 29-year-old defender on joining the North London side.
However, Aina jokingly replied he’s too old to join Mikel Arteta’s side as he’s focused on improving on the shortcomings of last season.
Aina had an underwhelming 2025/2026 season as he spent significant time injured as he missed out on the Super Eagles squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ola Aina revealed that he’s focused on his attacking instincts as he hoped to be involved in five goals ahead of the new season.
“I need to pray and fast because I did not score any goals last season. The season before, I think I got three goal involvements. I need to do some serious prayer and fasting because I need at least five. If I get five, I will be content,” Aina said.
Ola Aina made 28 appearances last season across all competitions.
