Atalanta are reportedly holding firm on their hefty valuation for Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman this summer, with Serie A champions Napoli showing keen interest in the versatile forward.
Antonio Conte, Napoli’s manager, views Lookman as the perfect successor to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Football Italia reports that Atalanta are willing to let Lookman go but are demanding €50 million. Napoli, reluctant to pay the full amount, are considering a player-plus-cash offer to land the 27-year-old.
Last season, Lookman continued his meteoric rise, scoring 20 goals and registering seven assists in 40 appearances across all competitions.
His explosive performances landed him the CAF Player of the Year honour, and links to some of Europe’s top clubs, including Barcelona, who are thought to be heavy admirers.

However, the Nigerian may remain in Serie A, either at Napoli or indeed, seeing out his contract in Bergamo, which expires next summer.
Lookman’s pace, dribbling, and versatility could transform Napoli’s attack, but they must come up with the funds needed to make a deal happen.
